Introduction of Arun kolatkar Arun Kolatkar was an Indian poet, He was born in 1st November 1932 in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India. He grew up in a traditional patriarchal Hindu extended family. He was educated at Rajaram High School in Kolhapur, where lessons were taught in Marathi. In J.J. School of Art in Bombay, also attending art schools in Kolhapur and Pune, graduating in 1957.  Jejuri was his first book of English poetry. Which is a collection of 31 poems. He passed at 25th September 2005 in Pune. About poem Jejuri : Jejuri is a series of poems written by Indian poet Arun Kolatkar.It consist of 31 poem collections. Jejuri poem describes about Kolatkar's visit to Jejuri, a city in Pune, which the poet visited in 1964. It was first published in Opinion Literary Quarterly in 1974, and issued in book-form in 1976. The Prioress prologue summary

Prioress characteristic :
A Prioress which is known as "mother superior". Who was very simple and modest in her smiling. Her greatest oath was but by Saint Loy. she was called Madam Eglantine which is known as "wild rose". she sang the divine service very well Intoned in her nose in a very polite manner.

Prioress's dialect :
  she spoke French very well and elegantly. In the manner of Stratford at the Bow. French of Paris was to her unknown.

Prioress's table manners :
       At meals she was well taught indeed. She let no morsel fall from her lips Nor wet her fingers deep in her sauce. She well knew how to carry a morsel(to her mouth) and take good care, That no drop fell upon her breast. Her greatest pleasure was in good manners. She wiped her upper lip so clean, That in her cup there was seen no tiny bit Of grease when she had drunk her drink. she was of excellent deportment and very pleasant, and amiable in demean.

Prioress's tender heart :
     She would weep,if she saw a mouse caught in a trap , if it were dead or bled. She had some small hounds that she fed With roasted meat or milk and fine white bread. she wept if one of them were dead or if someone's mote it smartly with a stick. She would feel bad and sobe.

Prioress's appears :
  Prioress wimple was pleated in a very seemly manner. Her nose well formed,her eyes gray as glass. Her mouth very small and it is more over soft and red.she had a fair forehead which was almost nine inches broad. For,certainly,she was not undergrown.Her cloak was very well made. her arm she bore of small coral. She wore a large green beads. thereon hung a brooch of very bright gold. "Love conquers all."She had another Nun with her, Who was her secretary and three priests.
